and ANOTHER transparency card

that looks quiiiiiite a bit like the one from the last week, actually...perhaps because it's made with the other half of the same transparency? on this side, however, part of the design was this flourishy frame, which is very cool, and obviously needed to be worked into my card:

(transparency: hambly; patterned papers: basic grey, fabric poinsettia: imaginisce; snowflake dies: nestabilities; snowflake diecut: mme, dcwv; chipboard letters: ki memories; adhesives: tombow monorunner, sewing machine, doodlebug brad)

sorry for the slightly wonky photo angles, transparencies are hard to photo without getting that big round obnoxious "UFO's are landing on my card!!!" light-bounce, aren't they? here's a shot that shows which bits are affixed where:

you can see (i hope?) that the compound snowflake embellishment thingie...and the festive lettering...are on the outside, whilst the layered diecut label shape is on the inside; in order to provide both extra dimension/pattern AND a place to write a festive greeting. i love a layered diecut label shape that *MULTI-TASKS* don't you?! ♥

  2. Ooh another card. I love the colors! Greatness as always. The layers are so pretty on this. And you just made it to make it? Good for you. I've been cheating and making cards out of my Tim Holtz tags from last year and the ones I'm making this year. I have no time. I also wanted to make ornaments. I'm studying like a fiend too. Talk to you soon!

  6. ryn: I did think about making more paint brush/knitting stick holders for my Etsy, because there are tons on there for sale that are very costly and I'd like to do one that was a bit more arty and pretty and figure out a pattern that might make it even more useful. The ones on Etsy go for around 40 to 50 bucks. I wouldn't mind making some that aren't as "big", but could be in a less money charged area. Where I could charge like 25 to 35 or so for each. I'm brainstorming. I miss you too. I'm so ready for this semester to be over!

  12. GORGEOUS! I did not even recognize it as the other half of the transparency...you made it look completely different and equally stunning. And I realize how much I need to practice with my new sewing machine; the stitched letters are marvelous :)
