The new challenge at Shopping Our Stash is to use wooden items or woodgrain papers in your project. Since I tend to collect woodgrain papers in every imaginable size, shape and color, I was spoilt for choice!
This card was built backwards, in the sense that I started with the two beautiful butterflies and the tiny paper flowers; both leftovers from Prima's Georgia Blues collection a few years back. When I looked for papers to coordinate, I found a small hoard of Blue Fern Studios' Eclectic Charm collection, which we had at Paper Anthology about two years ago, with which I was (still am!) utterly smitten. Finally, I chose a woodgrain background to match, in the form of weathered boards on a Crate Paper sheet that I bought for this woodgrain b-side, rather than the colorful print that was on top. Not until I went to photograph the card did I realize those tiny Prima flowers have super-small wooden beads at their centers, as well!
