doesn't it feel like we've done nothing but make increasingly frantic holiday cards for AGES?! but i'm pretty sure that's only because we actually have done nothing but make increasingly frantic holiday cards for ages. :)
so howsabout a break? may i present a completely non-denominational, non-holiday, cheery birthday type card?! it's a super-duper last minute type thingie, made because i just could not resist the etsy inspired challenge this week--the featured artist is the tzaddi shop whose jewelry and home decor items are AH♥MAY♥ZING! i was particularly taken with this peacock pendant:

partly because i have a great friend who *loves* peacocks, but also because the day before i saw this, we got a catalog for some local adult education courses that happened to have a peacock on the cover-- which of course i saved--and it was actually ON MY DESK when i saw the challenge on stef's blog. so it kind of had to be done, dontcha think?! here's my card:
(peacock cut from an advertisement; patterned paper: american crafts, best creations, pink paislee, basic grey, prima, bo bunny; graduated flower die: sizzix; brads: oriental trading co; inks: colorbox and martha stewart; embroidery floss: dmc; adhesives: uhu gluestick, 3m foam tape, tombow monorunner; other: decorative scissors)
and now i am SPECTACULARLY well-ahead for my friend kim's birthday next november (!!!) and spectacularly well-behind in everything else! situation 100% normal in the laurniverse, then!!! :)
