This fortnight at Jingle Belles we're celebrating one of our favorite patterns: PLAID! There are lots of great holiday patterned papers in that category, not to mention stamps and stencils for creating one's own. They needn't be red and/or green, but in this case, mine are:
I started with a buffalo plaid journaling card from last year's Carta Bella "Christmas Cheer" collection, added a vintage station wagon cut from an old My Mind's Eye design, added some handsome Eyelet Outlet Cardinals, and mounted the whole thing atop an older Authentique plaid set on the diagonal.

Plaid is one of my favourite patterns too Lauren and your photo is making my heart sing! I love the combination of plaids on your card but my favourite thing is how you've embellished the wheels of the car! Vicky x
ReplyDeleteI love how you photographed this wonderful card, but the plaid papers in the background make my heart sing! That station wagon reminds me of years gone by when we'd go shopping for our Christmas tree and put it atop the car's roof! A great card, complete with 2 pretty red cardinals and a heart!!
