we're "headed to the beach" this week at shopping our stash, and for me, that always means making something a bit hawaii-centric. so i did:
this time i've used some specifically beach-themed papers from echo park from a couple of years ago, paired with ancient yellow chipboard thickers (it's not a coincidence they are SEWN on there, lol!) and a dimensional lei sticker so old i'm actually not sure where it came from. it looks pretty good here, however, so sometimes hoarding pays off, eh? :)
there's loads more beachy inspiration awaiting you at SOS. why not hop over and enjoy some of that right now, darlings?
Where is the flamingo? Great (and I must say right up your street) theme this week. Lovely card though, just what you need to arrive in the post to lift you out of the doldrums of this wet season we are having. X
ReplyDeleteThis is soooooooooooo perfect.
ReplyDeleteLOVE! The sewing through the thickers looks fab!
ReplyDeleteGood question Sue, where is the flamingo? absolutely gorgeous card, just a Lauren card, if we took all the names off the blog I could pick yours out every time.
ReplyDeleteI knew you would have fun with this challenge! And yes, I knew I'd feel the Aloha! Love this creation... ahh, the old Thickers... Wish we could go to Hawaii right now!
ReplyDeleteOh boy this is such a great card. Not a piece out of place and every layer is so necessary. Fabulous.
ReplyDeleteAloha!!!!

This challenge had your name all over it! LOVE LOVE LOVE your card! It's tropical perfection!
ReplyDeleteLauren, my apologies for this late comment, been so busy this past week.
ReplyDeleteBut your card is awesome, I always love how you incorporate all of the different patterns and textures on your beautiful cards, this one is no exception, I can almost hear those waves crashing on the beach.
Awesome card, my dear.
Hugs.
