We're taking NOTE this fortnight at Shopping Our Stash. Musical notes, that is! I have lots of music-themed patterned papers and some fab Eyelet Outlet Music Note Brads and Washi, but maybe my favorite way to incorporate this theme is by using actual vintage sheet music in collages. So that's what I did.
There are about six different torn pieces of sheet music in my background collage, but several of them got covered up by the beautiful vintage postage stamps my friend Heather gave me the other day; and by the flower and hummingbird who share the spotlight as focal points on my A6 card.
As often happens when I start making collage cards, I couldn't stop at one. Especially since recently, my mother and aunt took a bunch of my favorite falling apart collage-fodder books home with them, and did a lot of fussycutting for me! So I now have an entire folder full of pre-cut-out flowers, birds and other funky things... how cool is that?!
There's not much actual crafting product involved in making these, except for my trusty Scotch Create Gluestick and some Frayed Burlap and Walnut Stain Distress Ink around the edges. Oh and the dear old We-R-Memory Keepers industrial corner rounder saw a bit of action, as well.
Be sure to hop over to SOS to see what the rest of the design team has made and start planning your own music-centric creation!
