i stamped! i stamped!!! :)

it's actually embarrassing that i stamp so infrequently, especially because whenever i DO stamp, i really enjoy it! in this case, i enjoyed stamping and coloring some (flippin' adorable) lawn fawn reindeer which belong to my friend elisabeth; and as it happens they are the absolute PERFECT size to use with eyelet outlet antler and elf brads! i mention the latter because my design team sister susan creech has started a new "CHRISTMAS IN JULY" feature on the EO blog, every saturday afternoon in july she will be posting an extra helping of xmas inspiration, so of course i'm excited to tune in for that! this week she and the lovely kim venezia of katydid cards, have some brilliant ideas, that i'm totally planning to steal... AHEM... "pay tribute to" later! ;) meanwhile, here's what i made:

so of course once i had the adorable deer, and i dressed them up with antlers and elf hats and candy canes; and added a washi tape sentiment. then i needed a background, and i thought it'd be fun to try something STRIPED to fit with our current brief at ♥JINGLE BELLES♥ "stars and/or stripes" so i made a washi tape background, but instead of ONE tape, i used three (santa and friends, green skinny stripe and skinny gold dots) in a STRIPED pattern! (i'm inordinately proud of that, as you'll have noticed, lol.)
