yes, i cheated (AGAIN!)

for our second week of inchie fun at ♥JINGLE BELLES♥ i had really, truly intended to make some tiny one-inch collages, or at least cut a larger vintage image image up into one or two inch squares! but then i found an oversized journaling card with all of these adorable tiny one-inch icons, just begging to be made into super-easy, flat, mailable holiday cards. and i mean, it would've been rude to say no, really, don't you think?!

inchies and sentiments: simple stories; plaid paper: american crafts; grid paper: amy tangerine; red grungy paper: basic grey; plain white cardstock: staples; vintage sheet music from my stash; ink: colorbox; adhesives: elmers brand gluetape, 3m foam tape

there were a dozen little squares in total, so i made them into two cards. one is a 6" square and the other's an A7. both sentiments came from other journaling cards in the same simple stories paper collection, and since the colors were thus PERFECT, i just cut them out and mounted them on foam tape.

when making a grid, i love to grab background papers with strong horizontal lines, so i don't have to measure. in this case i've got one piece of decorative graph paper and a bit of vintage sheet music. easy peasy!

stephanie has another totally inspiring card to show you. why not hop over to ♥JINGLE BELLES♥ and check it out right this minute!

  1. Both cards are adorable and fabulous of those little squares. I love the idea of the music to line them up, I like mine helter skelter lol. obviously I didn't retain your idea from an earlier card. I've got two more ideas hope they get on paper.
