*HOW* can it be october 1st already??!

seriously, this year is just FLYING by, isn't it?!! but it is october first, which means breast cancer awareness month has begun; and it's also tuesday, which means we've got a brand new challenge at shopping our stash... and if you think those two things are going to turn out to be related you are VERY perceptive because this week we are indeed asking you to make a project in honor of breast cancer awareness month, OR make something which is predominantly pink. can you guess which i've chosen? yeah. pink. what can i say, it's kinda my thing! :)

(vintage: girl from an old sewing pattern book + pink lace trim; patterned paper: basic grey, crate, prima, studio calico; rosettes and love brad: american crafts; sentiment sticker: crate paper; florals: heidi swapp; badge: october afternoon; crown brad: my mind's eye; ink: colorbox; adhesives: staples brand gluetape runner, 3m doublestick tape)
in the past couple of weeks i've made a whooooooole bunch of sewing journals which feature vintage illustrations (i'll show and tell about that cool project a bit later!) and as i was cleaning up on sunday i noticed this little blonde girl in the offcut pile. since i knew my next creative port of call was going to be "in the pink" she seemed like the perfect thing to set aside!

i rotated this awesome sweet stop sketch (#230) ninety degrees to the right for my layout. admittedly, it's a bit of a loose translation, but i think you can see the "bones" of it?

something else i'm POSITIVE you'd like to see is the stellar work of my SOS teammates, so why not hop over and take a peek?! ♥
