it's a blast from the past at
shopping our stash this week, we are challenging you to dust off
your oldest rubber stamp... and use it in a card or project! awesome, no?!
|
(stamp and embossing powder: personal stamp exchange; patterned paper: basic grey, glitz design, kaiser, making memories; kraft cardstock: hobby lobby; ink: colorbox; adhesives: staples brand gluetape runner, 3m foam tape) |
ok, i'm afraid i cannot *SWEAR* that this is my very oldest stamp, but it's a wood-mounted personal stamp exchange one,
and it's from the stamp store that used to be semi-near my mom's house, which means it's AT LEAST 15 years old, so i'm calling it good!!! to make this card, i've stamped it multiple times and *EMBOSSED* which automatically makes it "old skool" as far as i'm concerned! of course, having said that, i actually really like how this came out with the dimensional paper-piecing, so it's not impossible that i might dust off some other "oldies but goodies"! maybe you should, too? :)
in the meantime, be sure to checkout what my teammates over at
SOS have done, it's definitely a treat to see! ♥
haha this is great!! My oldest stamp! OMG. I know which one it is. I know I still have it somewhere. Its a pair of chihuahuas hugging. I know I must have gotten it when I was 15. Maybe 14. So it'd be... 20 years old. OMG>>>>>> lol. Totally doing this. I hope I can make the time. I love your card. Its so vintagey looking.
ReplyDeleteThat is an old stamp, I used to have that one! Love it!
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful card. Love how this stamp that is 15 years old can still make a gorgeous card..
ReplyDeleteHugs~
PSX....sniffle...their botanicals are amazing. I miss that company! (Have you SEEN what these run on Ebay? YIKES)
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely gorgeous - great idea to rock it old-school. Which, btw, wouldn't "first technique I learned" be a great challenge?
Well it's a fabulous stamp! and what a fabulous card ... I can't even remember which is my oldest stamp!
ReplyDeleteLook at you stamping and embossing ... so lovely.
ReplyDeleteOh I remember this stamp; not sure if I own it, but I know my stamping buddies did :) PSX is a classic for sure! And your dimensional paper piecing makes it current. Beautiful, Lauren.
