i always know what *DAY* it is...

...it's just these pesky date thingies which confuse me! see, unlike your earth calendar--in which september has 30 days and is followed immediately by october--in the laurniverse, september only has 27 days, but the month of throng* has four, which makes ~today~ october 5th! by this perfectly logical reasoning, i am thus NOT a day late for the caardvarks' "got paint?" challenge. (work with me, work with me!!!) which is great, because this time, to coincide with world cardmaking day, we've got guest designers from the two spotted dogs design team, and a fan-frickin'-tastic 2SD prize! you really, really need to go check out the gallery!

my creation:

(folkart paint; making memories foam stamp & rub-ons; making memories & treehouse memories patterned paper; heidi swapp chipboard; dymo labels)

i have to confess that this is not my favorite card i've ever made. there's nothing wrong with it, really; and i had fun playing with acryllic paint and a foam stamp...but...it doesn't exactly thrill me with delight. and you know, i'm ok with that! at the end of the day, it's a hand-made greeting card! seriously: you get a card, on your birthday, that someone made especially for you?! how can that be a BAD thing??! (hint: it cannot!)

*(did you think the phrase "a happy throng" meant a cheerful crowd of people?! awwwwww, how quaint! nope. actually it's a heartfelt holiday greeting, to which i reply: right backatcha!)

  1. I think that's a super card, but I know where your coming from, quite often the cards you aren't really keen on are the ones every one else likes, it's called "Different Taste", it does make you worry about the ones that you really do like though..... LOL
