you can see i've concentrated on the sweets and treats... two of my favorite things about the holidays! there were several years of my childhood in which we really did string popcorn and cranberries for our tree. i remember that it took aggggggggggggggggges to complete; mostly because we kids (and my dad!) ate most of the popcorn before it could become garland, lol!
i've used miss leslie's awesome crooked stamper sketch challenge #10 for my card's layout, i think you'll agree it's pretty easy to see why!
head on over to ♥JINGLE BELLES♥ to see stephanie's card and link up your own fabulous feast-based greeting!
Ooooh, food! One year I helped friends decorate their tree with popcorn strings. So. Much. Work. But your card is GORJUS, as always.
ReplyDeleteThanks for playing my sketch challenge!
wonderfully festive and yummy card! fab take on Leslie's sketch.
ReplyDeleteYou are so talented! I thought I had joined your site but had NOT! I just read your bio and you just crack me up woman!
ReplyDeleteWe did popcorn on the tree one year, well, tried to but everyone ate the popcorn before it could go on the string.:/
Too fun!!! Great card, love the prompt! Ahh, the popcorn!! How many times did you prick your finger while stringing?!? Oh, but the results are so very satisfying hanging on the tree, aren't they?! At my house, we always do stringed popcorn, often with cranberries, the years we do a real tree - which is admittedly not very often. If we travel, it is just too much mess if we aren't going to be around for the holidays to enjoy it.
ReplyDeleteShanna :)
GOrgeous colours and design...LOve your stitching too.
ReplyDeleteA Fun string of 'popcorn'. I could quite happily eat some right now!
