silver belles!

or, more accurately, silver bells. which is what we'd like to see at ♥JINGLE BELLES♥ this fortnight. or, rather, we'd like to see holiday cards that feature silver OR bells; so your card needn't have both; but my card was made by me... so of course it does, lol!

patterned paper: hambly, dcwv; pink velvet paper: doodlebug; glossy white and silver cardstock(s): paper accents; label die: tim holtz; jingle bell die: memory box... courtesy of the lovely miss lorraine several years ago, but still one of my all-time faves (ta v much missus!); border punch: recollections; brad: american crafts (recolored with a copic marker); pink cardstock diecuts: k and co; silver glitter star: memory makers; flower and leaf: prima; adhesives: elmers brand gluetape, 3m foam tape, gluedots, sewing machine

can i just take a moment to point out that not only is that lovely out-of-print hambly paper sporting two shades of softly shimmery silver; it's also a rather gorgeous version of the quatrefoil pattern which pre-dates that craze by at least four years? so there. (oh hambly, how i miss you!) i should also mention that this older paper was obtained for me rather recently (last xmas, i think?) by my lovely friend and JB partner stephanie, who is always on the lookout for such goodies because she knows how sadly i feel their absence. that is true friendship for you, folks! ♥ speaking of stephanie, i truly didn't think about it until i started typing this, but i've unconsciously channeled the design of the birthday card she made for me, and pretty closely, too, see:

i've even used a morphy/laureny/rotated version the same sketch. how funny is that? but then it's a corker of a card, so why wouldn't i want to make something similar? but you know... xmassy... and silver encrusted!

of course ♥YOU♥ don't need to work any pink into your card; just some silver and/or some bells and you are all set! why not stop over at ♥JINGLE BELLES♥ and link up something fab?
