seeing red! :)

we're still embracing the joys of the color red over at ♥JINGLE BELLES♥ and you still have nearly a whole week to join us, which we hope you will! in the meantime, here's my latest take on this bold hue:

(patterned paper: echo park; tags: basic grey; florals: prima; brads: doodlebug and creative imaginations; chip board word: recollections; red heart doily from my stash; adhesives: staples brand gluetape runner, 3m foam tape, sewing machine)

i used last week's (expired but still awesome) unscripted sketch, #243, for my layout, which i thought would work pretty well with some older tags i had laying about, and i think it did, actually!
meanwhile, clear it out challenge is also enjoying the color red, for which we can embrace any theme, so i'm going to link up with those ladies!

and now i hope you'll come on over to ♥JINGLE BELLES♥ to see stephanie's gorgeous card and check out the amazing reader's gallery, as well!

  2. I'm so happy to see other people use expired challenge sketches. I mean, they're still sketches, right?

I finally played this one, and shall post them (yes, TWO!) on the morrow. :)

  3. My first impression was...valentine card! Beautiful Christmas cards are not expected (by me anyway) in February so fun surprise. Love the stitching and pretty doily. Hugs, KathyCan.

  4. This is so gorgeous, Lauren! It's also versatile ~ w/o the "Noel," this would be an awesome Valentine ... or Anniversary! Have a wonderful weekend! Hugs, Darnell

  5. Very pretty! And how nice to find a red doily heart not on a Valentine's card.
