hello, darlings! i am back from my western excursion, and today we are driving down to maryland to help my father-in-law celebrate his ♥80th♥ birthday! coincidentally, today on the pixie blog is the fun little birthday book i made for that gentleman, using papers and embellishments from the MARY MARY QUITE CONTRARY kit:
i'm quite proud of this project, and pleased it came out well, since it is being given to one of my favorite people in the whole world! i do hope you'll pop over and see photos of the inside, and read about all of the cool ingredients used in its construction! ♥
hope your trip was fantastic and you got to see your "art" :)
ReplyDeletedid you like las vegas?? lol
super fun birthday book girl :)
You're in MARY-LAND!? Where?
ReplyDeleteNiiice book. I don't have the patience for these things.
Happy birthday to your father-in-law :-)
ReplyDeleteOkay I went over and looked at the whole thing. Adorable!! Wow! Breaking out the bind it all. Go you! Mine is covered in dust. (lots of it lol) I just love the coloring of this whole kit. Really pretty. Great project. He's going to be amazed!
ReplyDeleteHi Lauren!
ReplyDeleteWhat an adorable card! This looks like so much fun, I hope your father-in-law appreciates it! ;) Handmade gifts are the best. Nicely done!
Cheers,
Rachael
FABulous...seriously, such a neat keepsake!
ReplyDeleteSuper sweet mini, Lauren!
ReplyDeleteOkay, I saw this lovely creation the other day but didn't have the requisite amount of time to adequately oooh and aaaahhh over it, so I am rectifying that immediately forsooth. This is just pure genius, and I am notifying you that I plan to purloin it at some time in the near future. I'm sure your dear FIL was smiling from head to toe at his special gift. Brilliant idea to use the Dr. Suess poem...ageless giggles. Lovely!
