yesterday it came to pass that i reached 163 blog followers... (thank you very much!) ...on my 163rd blog post!!! how cool is *THAT*?! being the coincidence-loving weirdo that i am, this of course inspired me to choose 163 things from my vast stash of indescribably funky vintage stuff and stage a giveaway!
perhaps you'd like to see what's at stake?!
there's too much to list, but i've photo-ed it in groups...we've got lace & ribbon & fabric scraps & buckles & sparkly stuff...
representin' the scrappy contingent, there's bling & stickers & rubber stamps & book plates & confetti & lots & LOTS of flowers...
from the land of uncharacterizableness comes a whollllllllllllllle lot of vintage buttons & different sorts of beads & a bunch of game tokens & poker chips & a tiny eiffel towel & an even tinier turtle!
finally, if you like miscellaneous paper stuff you will love this bunch of game cards & puzzle pieces & little map thingies & spinners & over a million dollars in genuine play money!!!
wow...that's alotta candy sista:) weird fact? In the evenings, I tend to do alotta blurfing on my iPod so if my comment is odd, it's because the iPod did its funky spellcheck dealio on me..happy monday!
ReplyDeleteI was dropping in to say congrats on the win at 2Sketches4U!! :) Cool stash, and it's too early to think of any conspiracies. :)
ReplyDeleteWow! Mega candy....Congrats on 163! 163 items in the candy! If I lied and told you I live at house number 163 could I win? I am going to stick with a hello! Hello!
ReplyDeleteGreat looking candy - and nothing weird or unusual has happened to me, that I know about! So HELLO!
ReplyDeletesuch a fun coincidence and fun "candy"!
ReplyDeleteHi there
ReplyDeleteNot sure you would call this a coincidence but I met my husband on a Geology field trip for the Open University - if we hadn't been doing that course I would never have met him!
Hugs Ali x
WOW Lauren, this is a great giveaway. Something weird actually happened to me this morning ( how spooky is that) The story is long but I can share it in a mail if you wanna hear. In short version, I had a dream and when I told Hansi about it this morning ( it had to do with his parents ) he told me that what I had dreamt was under planning. :-O
ReplyDeleteooohhhh! 163 is a good numbah, indeed!
ReplyDeletei do not wish to play for this candy, because i'm still loving all the Lauren fabby-goodness given to me in a previous candy win (and as a parting gift when visiting the House of Lauren!)... but i DO want to encourage people to play, because this girl KNOWS how to pack a box full of YUM!
What a cool giveaway! Thanks for the chance to win!
ReplyDeleteI, too, should sit this one out! (the lovely envie of paper stash was so full!) :)
ReplyDeleteI can tell you of a strange coincidence:
DH & I went to the same high school. He was friends with the guy that my friend was 'engaged' to (it was hs, what can I say?) but we never met. He roomed with that friend in college - I went to their apt several times - we never met.
He married a girl named Mandy - only child of a only child. Her mother was a young single mother - her grandparents were Austrian & hispanic.
*I* am the only child of an only child. *My* mom was a young single mother - and her parents were German & hispanic.
Coinky dink? Nah.... I always tell him that he was looking for me - just didn't get it right the first time! :D
Wow, funny coincidence that I would discover your blog yesterday and immediately put it in my Google Reader and that you're having a giveaway the very next day! Was it meant to be?!.... just sayin'...

ReplyDeleteWOW - that's a lot of coolness for one box. Congrats on the 163 in 163. I just passed 20202 miles in my car while toting only 2 of my daughters. It was like being in the Twilight Zone. LOL
ReplyDeleteI've never seen such a generous giftaway !! Wish you achieve another 163 followers soon.
ReplyDeleteA weird fact about me : Haven't been able to stand eating pineapples since I was a kid.
Great giveaway! Someone is going to be quite lucky. Not me though> cause I'm still trying to figure out what the heck I'm going to do with my current over stocking/too small space/what the heck do I got delimas. lol.
ReplyDeleteTalk to ya soon!
Congrats on all the posts and followers!!!
ReplyDeleteMy coincidence: Seems as if everyone around me, (and the other day I joined the group)is having problems with their home air conditioners! I live in Texas, so no AC is simply unacceptable! So weird that 5 of my coworkers have had their AC's go out within the past 2 weeks...but of course it may be because the AC's are workin' OT to cool us down in this 150 degree heat!!!!
Hi there & what a FuN blog! You have inspired me to start making journals and cards again. My <3 = :-)
ReplyDeleteWeirdness is I just discovered the left side of my body is larger than the right. My foot size is 1/2 size bigger, my eye is a smidge bigger and my hair is thicker on the left side. wait....was that too much info? :)
wow...what alotta cool candy!
ReplyDeletesomething weird that happened to me...hmmmm....i was abducted by aleins...they wanted to know what the craze over all this crafty stuff was about!....yep...really! LOL
Wow! Lauren what a wonderful blog!
ReplyDeleteI have had so much fun having a look around so glad you decided to play with us at Something Completely Different. Congrats on all your followers.xx Off to add myself!
A spooky coincidence at the exact moment by daughter's flight took for China I sat up in bed as I thought I heard her screaming! I settled back down when I looked at the clock as I realised her flight had already left. Later when I checked with the airport her flight had been delayed to... the exact time I'd sat up in bed! Strange?
Thankfully her flight landed safely 18 hours later!
Hi and what fun! So many folks are off on great August vacations, but those of us here get to play along with you. The candy looks yummy. Weird fact is that my first home was a mortuary! Thanks and have a great weekend.
ReplyDeleteWow, that is REALLY cool!!! Congrats on all your followers and thanks for the chance at such a great prize! :)
ReplyDelete- April W
Friday the 13th eek! I live in the most haunted town in America - Gettysburg, PA. That is pretty weird and wonderful, no?! Thanks for the chance to win. :) :) :) :)
ReplyDeleteGreat giveaway! Someone is definitely gonna be a happy scrapper!!
ReplyDeleteI just found your blog and it is very impressive so have become a follower. I'm new to the blog world but this is great, and what an awesome prize and bit of trivia about you.
ReplyDeleteI also have a thing with numbers, If I see all same numbers on a digital clock like 5:55 2:22 I always make a wish and then can't let myself look back at that clock for at least a minute until I know the time has changed. My daughters b'day is 11/11 and it is amazing how many times I will look up while driving or at home and the time on the clock is 11:11, so i find that extra special.
Barbara
I love numbers, so if you are weird I'm weird right along with you. Digital clocks, the odometer on the car, page numbers in books, love them all.
ReplyDeleteLove your blog and great giveaway. Weirdest thing I ever did was leave San Diego and move to New Mexico!
ReplyDeleteA cool, new trivia fact about me...I just held a 40lb red-tailed boa constrictor today!! I am a little freaked by snakes, so this is a big deal. Fortunately, someone had a camera, so there will be photographic evidence of my awesome encounter with the snake.
ReplyDeleteLauren, your blog has a grand sense of adventure to it and your giveaway is spectacular! Thanks for the opportunity to share in both! ~Tara D.
A very weird experience of my life....seeing my name on a tombstone in St. Augustine. The woman died in 1865 I think. Kinda freaked me out but it's way cool, I think! Would love yto win your awesome blog candy. Thanks for your generosity! --Sandi P.
