now that you see how easy the whole travel book process is once you sensibly embrace *CHEATING* the way i do, wouldn't it be great if you had a book of your own to try it out? well, then, how about this one?
yep, i made an extra one, with a decorated cover, days-of-the-week pages, themed pages, and loads of blanks to fill in however you'd like. you only need to add some memories...and maybe a postcard or two!
just leave a comment on this post telling me your favorite vacation...or your dream vacation...by midnight on thursday, july 29th, and i will choose a random winner to get the "GO!" book...and maybe i'll even throw in a few travel-inspired vintage goodies from my stash, too!
How awesome is this!!
ReplyDeleteMy dream vacation would be a trip to Italy, a destination I've dreamed about since I first saw Audrey Hepburn in Roman Holiday :)
I wish I had seen how easy this was as I have just finished a paper bag Travel journal album (not on my blog yet as it is a DT project too) for a family who have gone travelling around Europe - to make one of these instead would have been perfect for them as they are after travelling emigrating to New Zealand.
ReplyDeleteMy dream destination is the Maldives, the colour of the sea and the the unspoilt beaches and tropical fish awww I can only dream!

woot woot....okay, i'm sooo behind on my blurfing...counter reads over 600+ posts...sigh...anywho's....love this and my dream vaca is to go back to Japan again...had a ball the first time with my bro but I want to go again!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite travel experience thus far was Israel. Many years ago. Very spiritual place. If I could go somewhere today, I would love to go to Hawaii. See the blue skies and the gorgeous flowers.
ReplyDeleteYour "Go Book" idea is so perfect for keeping travel memories, especially if you're memory-challenged like I am. I'd say my favorite vacation was really our honeymoon to England and Wales back in '97. I'm an unabashed anglophile and would love to just go live in London for a year. Thanks for your great ideas, Lauren. Have a great weekend.
ReplyDeleteyou are so sweet!! hummm... i would love to visit Paris some day, but for now Hawaii sounds really good, too! =) thanks for the chance to win!
ReplyDeleteThis is cool. My dream vacation would being able to actually travel somewhere without family - don't get me wrong, I love family, but have NEVER had a vacation that didn't involve visiting family, and I've been married nearly 40 years. I deserve this at least once!
ReplyDeleteLove that travel book!!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite dream vacation would not be so much a destination, but just having all my kids and grandkids with my hubby and I. I would love just being all together somewhere we could just relax and have fun together...no distractions no worries!
Lauren...I have a question for you...can you email me at
cheryljunegirl@hotmail.com?
WOW..Hun....I would love to have another of you great creations, and could sure use one from the trip to Stockholm... My dream vacation is to go to Japan, Tokyo and eat sushi and attend a tea cermony. My best vacation so far except for my days at Fanø, is to a greek island called Chios. paradise on earth.
ReplyDeleteBig hug from sunny Denmark..
Linda
Hmm my dream vacation would be to go to Bora Bora and stay in a Tiki hut on the water and swim in the water all day and snorkel and canoodle and do nothing. Take pictures, paint, draw, explore. That is all. It'd be amazing.

Your books are the bestest. I LOVE the one I made from our DISNEY trip. You know, the one that I copied you on. Thank you for that. Hmmm. A dream vacation would be somewhere on a beach with Raoul, the scantily clad cabana boy, bringing delishious drinks donned with umbrellas every hour or so. Or a trip to NYC. I love that City and would love to take my girls there. Or to the Grand Canyon. Oh, who am I kidding, I want to go EVERYWHERE.
ReplyDeleteYay, I made it in time!!
ReplyDeleteMy honeymoon on Maui was an absolute dream! Everything a trip to a tropical island should be!
More recently, taking my kids to Disneyland for the first time was surprisingly emotional and nostalgic for me, and I just loved seeing everything fresh and new through their eyes!

LOVE your travel book idea :D
ReplyDeleteIf I could pick anywhere I'd definitely go to South Korea. I was born there but was adopted and came to the US when I was only four months old. I'd love to go back and explore/get in touch with my herritage!
