or rather, i took liberties with the proportions; because really all the *elements* are there:
(patterned paper & chipboard scallop: my mind's eye; cardstock tags: jenni bowlin; cardstock: core'dinations; flowers: making memories; glass pebble: prima; leaf ribbon: may arts; chipboard word: ek success; other: vintage sheet music, vintage eyelet, silk ribbon, sewing machine; adhesives: uhu gluestick, tombow monorunner, gluedots, 3m foam tape)
i am also not entirely sure i love the over-hanging scallops...which at 10pm last night looked cool and fresh and daring...but those things are ON THERE now, so i'm hoping they'll grow on me! :)
Oooh...I likey:) I've been seeing tags more and more...love the look!
ReplyDeleteI love the vintage look! Very cool take on the sketch... your art is, as usual, fabulous!
ReplyDeleteThe elements are indeed all there and they are PERFECT!! This is so gorgeous! LOVE your translation of the sketch!
ReplyDeleteI see more amazing sheet music and love the lace! I love that you play along with us!!!! :)
ReplyDeleteWow, that's one stunner of a card : )
ReplyDeleteOh I love it. I like the overhanging scallop. If I was to change anything it'd be changing the base of the card from blue to white. Then the overhang wouldn't be as contrast and really look more "meshing" with the card. haha does that make sense? I love the collage of all the pieces. Really cool.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous Lauren! I love the overhangy bits...they're totally fun!
ReplyDelete(-: Heidi

ReplyDeleteEEEEEEEEEEEEEEKKKKKKKKKKKKKKK!!! U are one of my card heroes!! I loveeeeeeeeeeeee this! Loveeeeeeeeee all the blues and the lace!! Thanks sooooooooooooo much for playing along with Sketchy Thursdays! :):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):)
ReplyDeleteThe over hanging scallops are amazing. You are so trendy and cool...a step ahead of trends, really. I need me some vintage eyelet. I was actually going to buy some just yesterday, but ran out of time. And you not only have some, but you've used it brilliantly (of course I expect nothing less from you!)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful, my dear.
Gorgeous!! Love the eyelet!! :)
ReplyDeleteLauren this is so georgeous. I love the overhangy lace, looks really cool..Thankyou again for beeing the biggest inspiration I could look for :-))
ReplyDeleteStunning! And as to overhanging things- I like them! Everything in my house is overhanging- the laundry always overhangs the edges of the baskets, the dishes are always hanging off the edge of the counter (disaster waiting to happen). My paper craft stuff is always overhanging whatever container or table it is on. The only thing that does not overhang (adequately!) in this house is the eves- don't even get me started about that- who came up with that poor design I ask?
ReplyDeleteOh were we talking about your card????LOL_ I love that it overhangs! Makes it more real!
