i confess i was just the teeniest bit stumped for an idea when i first saw laura's sketch #54:
which is why it's such a great thing that 2S4Y shows us some brilliant design team cards as well as their lovely sketches each week; as soon as i saw laura's adorable "pear" card i realized i also needed to make an anniversary card, and this was the perfect sketch to use!
i went with some marah johnson rockstar rub-ons... (yeah, they're fairly ancient by now, but i still~♥~ those things!) ...my last scrap of prima "flirty" paper... (sob!) some american crafts' clouds... and yes, as a matter of fact, the scallops and lines of tiny circles *were* cut from the packaging of some very old "love elsie" product. (yet another sadly discontinued line that i really miss!) isn't it amazing how you can make a full-sized card--this one's 5x7"-- from just a whole bunch of little bits and bobs?!
have i mentioned lately that i ♥LOVE♥ paper??!?! :)
♥SMOP♥ Bits and Bobs work very nicely for you...I LOVE this card..I'm not a tattoo girl but wouldn't those birds make a fabbie tattoo?
ReplyDeleteIt's SO FUN to dig out those old supplies...I have loads that I love and I love digging them out.
ReplyDeleteAMAZING card. I love those birds too!
cute cute CUTE! yeah, i was totally inspired by the pears card, too, and wondered WHAT ON EARTH i'd do with this fabby sketch! and now, looking at your gorje creation, i'm even MORE inspirated, so i wanna make stuff!
ReplyDeleteThis is stunning!! What a PERFECT anniversary card!
ReplyDeleteYour bits & bobs cards are some of my favorites...though every Lauren-y card is wonderfully unique. You don't need to using the last scrap of a product line to make a Lauren-y card :)
ReplyDeleteWell that sketch certainly has me stumped right now, but hey - look what Lauren made!!!!! Gorgeous work as always hun, how clever!!!!! Jo x
ReplyDeleteMe again... just had a 'lightbulb above the head' moment after looking at you card again and the cute pear card. What a great sketch, how was I ever wandering in the wilderness over this little beauty... can't wait to get stampin' and colouring now! Jo x
