Twelve drummers drumming
Eleven pipers piping
Ten lords a leaping
Nine ladies dancing
Eight maids a milking
Seven swans a swimming
Six geese a laying
Five gold rings
Four calling birds
Three French hens
Two turtle doves
And a partridge in a pear tree

as it turns out, i actually went with the first option of numerals, which i've incorporated via a fun december calendar journaling card:
the little calendar wound up being more covered up than i had imagined; but i got very involved in framing up pretty bits of patterned paper with these ancient chipboard circle frames i found buried deeeeeeeeeeeeep in my holiday stash! i really love them, though, so i guess i'm ok with the limited view of the calendar. i'm absolutely smitten with these new dimensional- and very realistic looking!- holly leaves from prima's "christmas in the country" collection. trust me you will definitely be seeing these again (and again... and again...)
hop on over to ♥JINGLE BELLES♥ to see stephanie's card and start planning your own numerical awesomeness for the twelve days of christmas!
Gorgeous! Loving all the yummy layers.
ReplyDeleteFabulous prompt and an equally fabulous card. love how you used all those bits of paper and the leaves look really nice.
ReplyDeleteI'd just found a Project Life card in the back of the cupboard and then discovered Jingle Belles - it was meant to be! Your card is a brilliant way to use a journalling card and I love the idea of putting snippets of designer paper into frames too. Thanks for the inspiration :) So glad I found your challenge and am cracking on with those Christmas cards now!
ReplyDeletesuch a cute card. x
ReplyDeletelove all your little details :) how is your eyesight after all the tiny bits of paper?? ;)
