...i've got this week's ♥JINGLE BELLES♥ card to show you. we're still making cards that incorporate music in some way. here's what i made:

i found a sheet of absolutely ancient "love elsie" brown and pink sheet music patterned paper from ki memories. (ok, technically, the brown and pink sheet music is the reverse of "betty petticoat". because me being me, i often prefer the "b side" lol.) i'm not even sure this was technically a holiday paper, but somehow it got put in with my xmas stuff and as soon as i saw it, i thought it would be weird-but-wonderful with my absolute favorite holiday line from 2018, prima's "santa baby". i stand by that decision!
i had saved this sweet sunday sketch from 2015 because i thought the diagonal mat was so clever and distinctive. and seeing it again last week, i still thought that, so i decided to use it again.
i fitted a slightly cut down and matted journal card on top of the cool trapezoid shape, embellished with a bit of washi, et voila! a couple of eyelet outlet gems and a chipboard sentiment and i was good to go!
