i do not think anyone will be surprised to find that my *PERSON* is lovely husband jeff...but what if i told you that i had made that choice at age 21?? (does that seem young to you? because in retrospect...to ME...it seems really realllllllllllllly young!) ...but...and i can't emphasize this enough...i would not change a thing!

text reads, "it is 1985. i am 21 years old. there is no way i am qualified to select ONE PERSON with whom to share my entire life. for better or for worse. til death do us part. can this possibly be a good decision?! YES! ...somehow...miraculously...it is!

edited to add a completely unrelated but utterly euphoric fact...after a long, hot, and sadly simian-free summer:
MONKEEMAKER IS BACK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
What a lovely page Lauren :)
ReplyDeleteNo I dont think 21 is too young, the way I see it is you could look forever and not find the one - or be too scared to take a chance and miss out all together (me) so I am so very glad it worked out for you :)
Thankyou for stopping by my blog and I hope your "cough" is better ;)
Have a wonderful day :)

I feel the same way...except we were the ripe old age of 24; looking back we were so young. I am so glad that the decision turned out to be the perfect decision for you (and I)!
ReplyDeleteI **almost** e-mailed you about monkee maker, but I noticed yesterday that she is back and has been busy knitting and crocheting some super cute simians and simian wannabes (dogs).
That is sooooo sweet! I love that photo too, makes it look like you can't wait to get away from the crowd and just be together...or maybe that's my romantic imagination???
ReplyDeletePS: Can't wait to see what you come up with for this week's "anger" one!!
Marrying at 21 and still together after 22 years is fantastic, hope to still be reading your blog when you reach 50! Thanks for visiting my blog and leaving me birthday wishes, all very muchly appreciated.
