(patterned paper: recollections, kay and co, glitz design, pink paislee, making memories + papaya art glitter giftwrap + cool vintage doily from stephanie; florals: prima; leaf diecut: kay and co; brad: my mind's eye; happy birthday rub-on: fancy pants; ink: colorbox; adhesives: staples brand gluetape runner, 3m foam tape, sewing machine) |
as well as a super-fab palette (#292) from color throwdown:
i'm not sure you can tell from the photo, but the silver-grey leafy bits in the background paper are actually highlighted with silver glitter. i'm not sure you can tell from this next photo, either, but it's arguably slightly better than the first one. plus it shows the layers on the cupcake, which i really like, lol, so there's that!
something else i really like is being part of the awesome SOS team, so i hope you'll take a little time to visit their blogs, see their gorgeous projects, and leave them a little loooooooove:
thank you, darlings!

**hence the name, "shopping our stash"; we're trying to use what we have instead of perpetually chasing the latest and greatest. or, if you prefer, we're using up older stuff to make room for a few new goodies. it's up to you! :)
Thanks for all the (gah) PINK! You do it so well. :):):)
ReplyDeleteAnd I love how you take those "page" sketches and make them into cards, oh, Queen of the Layers.
Such a perfect sweet delish card!

ReplyDeleteOh, just look at that yummy, beautiful, cupcakey goodness! Love the pretty cupcake you built atop the doily - beautiful! I do, I see the sparkle and bling, such a nice touchl! Yes, I agree - a dynamite sketch. Hope I can time to play along this week...
ReplyDeleteAnd, thank you, thank YOU so much for your visits and your always enjoyable, lovely, heartfelt comments. It is nice to be welcomed back so very kindly after the break I took from blogging. You are so generous and thorough (details!) with your comments - I so enjoy your visits! I can't even begin to imagine how FUN you would be to meet in person!!!
so you actually saw the Vermeer from the book? - how totally amazing is that! I don't think I'll find that particular brand of awesome up here in Northwestern ON, lol, but I so enjoyed the book. (Now if you are looking for outdoor adventure and nature - and lack of traffic - this is the place!) I have started "Wolf Hall" and found the 1st few chapters a challenge but am settling into her style of writing which I find interesting but challenging. How many Thomas's were there for goodness sakes?!?! good thing for the character guide at the front! lol, I hear they just get better and that readers are anxiously awaiting the third book. always good to find an established series for which there are already a few out and just waiting to be picked up!
Thanks again!
Affectionately,
Shanna :)
