i made the bottom card first. and i really like it, but we're shooting for projects which are predominently blue, and i wasn't sure it was really blue enough? particularly since my star, the handsome mister fish, who irl is silvery blue... in the photo just looks plain old grey; plus i've covered up most of the blue clouds in that awesome amy tangerine paper. as it happens, i have two important "guy birthdays" at the end of january, so i decided i'd try a second time with a bluer fish and bluer clouds paper. mission accomplished. or accompfished? ok, no. sorry. nevermind. movin' on...
i used last week's i (heart) card sketch for my layout, admittedly somewhat loosely. the bottom card is a more faithful version, but i accidentally drew my circles a little too small on the upper card, and would've had to trim an awful lot of lovely fish away... so i adjusted!
and now i know you are longing to see what the rest of the SOS dt has made for your delight, so off you go, darlings! ♥
Accompfished.....bwahahahahahahaha Awesome cards!
ReplyDeleteMission totally accom-fished!
ReplyDeleteLove both the cards...what a great idea to cut the fish out of books to use on a card! I am totally making my dad a "Best Fishes" card for his birthday this year!
OMG! Mission accomp-fished! LMAO at that! What a brilliant idea to cut fish photos out of an old angler handbook. (face palm!) Your cards are perfect guy cards! Love them!
ReplyDeleteYes, totally accomp-fished! Love how you use all those parts-is-parts to create such fabby cards!
ReplyDeleteYou totally accom-fished what you set out to do with your blue. I have two very large fishes in a tank that these make me think of. My fish menace you when it gets close to their dinnertime. Don't under-estimate the menacing abilities of a fish. I'm hoping to get the blues for this challenge but since I'm stuck at school (I work there) and it's the first day the blues I have aren't on paper.
ReplyDeleteLove them both although the bluer on is the best for the challenge. Fabulous job.
ReplyDeleteAccompfished...snort...you'd think I'd know better than to have a mouthful of coffee when I start reading one of your posts, but I'm a slow learner! I happen to love both of these - those fish are so fabulously detailed!
ReplyDeleteFabulous Fishes! Your creations are always put together so well, I'm turning green with envy :) Love them both!
ReplyDeleteAwesome interpretation of the Sketch and a super cool fish! Great job!
