if you've been reading m'blog for a while, you're probably aware that lovely husband jeff has been home for several months due to a very bad & slightly mysterious case of vertigo. we've been seeing lots of doctors and having lots of tests and taking quite a few medications. thankfully, most of the really scary neurological possibilities have been ruled out; unfortunately the exact problem is still unclear. the main thing i've noticed is that there is A LOT of "hurry up and wait" involved in this scenario! brief periods of intense, frantic (and stressful!) activity are interspersed with lonnnnnnnng, drawn out (and stressful!) delays. at the moment, having rushed around all last week doing the latest round of appointments...we are now waiting to get in to see yet another specialist for a series of tests that are only done at one clinic... (which, luckily, is in philadelphia, only an hour's train ride away!) of course we are massively grateful to have so many medical options, to have insurance, to have wonderful & supportive friends and family, but this process is not easy, and it's certainly not quick! yikes. however, we're getting through it and once again i offer many thanks for all of your continued good thoughts and wishes--we hope to have some more definitively good news soon!

heart the art: week 30 (rushed)
this turned out to be quite a quick HEART the ART page to make...i think i turned it out in about half an hour. unless you count the two weeks i spent *thinking* about what to do, in which case it was quite a slow page to make! which brings us round to what the topic was, for week 30: RUSHED.
Oh sista, sorry that you guys are going thru the hurry up & wait process.....love your project....hang in there!!!
ReplyDelete"Hurry up and wait" -- how true.
ReplyDeleteHope your husband gets well soon Lauren.
I am so sorry to hear about your husband, Lauren. I hope you find some answers and relief soon. Your project really says it all!
ReplyDeleteSending you and Jeff happy, healing thoughts and prayers.
ReplyDeleteYour page is way cool. Love the effects you did to the pic.
Isn't it interesting that if you are late for a DR appt they make you reschedule, but if you sit for an hour to wait for the doctor, that's okay? Grrr. I feel your pain, and I'm sorry you have to go through all that silliness. I hope they figure out what it is so LHJ is back to his old self REAL FAST!
ReplyDeleteOh, and I love your page! ;)
I hate all the waiting and the doctors and the wondering. :( I was really hoping that things would be figured out by now for you guys. This is a great page. I love how you did it.
ReplyDeleteBig hugs to you and your hubby...i am so sorry that this process is dragging on for you all...with all my heart I am hoping and praying that it can be resolved in the very near future for you! *your page is phenomenal, btw.

ReplyDeleteLauren, I hope you and your husband find out what is wrong soon and he is on his way to recovery. Stress is that part of life that we all have to deal with like it or not, but is still a part of us. Hugs and prayers.
ReplyDeleteWell, I do hope they find a solution for you and Jeff soon! I can't even imagine how stressful that whole thing must be. Hugs!

Lauren, big hugs to you and Jeff. I will be thinking of you guys for the next weeks and will cross my fingers and thoes.
ReplyDeleteI love your page with the train. We are in Denmark now and yesterday we went with a intercity train, faster than the one we have in Norway. So the page reminds me of the traintrip.
Big hugs to you both...
Oh, man, poor LHJ! You both are nearing sainthood with your patience to go through this long process. Thank you for the update. Sending prayers for you both :)
ReplyDeleteOh, Lauren! I'm so sorry to hear that LHJ *still* isn't feeling up to snuff! Send him (and you!) my best! *mwah*
