Love Ewe...

...more than yarn?! Surely not, lol. Because knitters like myself really loooooove yarn! And also Eyelet Outlet Knitting Brads, which include the beautiful purple yarn our sheep friend is knitting up. There are three more EO products on this card... can you spot them?

Most likely you noticed the purple Heart Enamels, which are a fave of mine. How about the Tape Measure Washi that acts as a mat around the edge? Admittedly, I trimmed the numbers off which disguises it a bit, but I wanted a skinny border, so I chopped it down. Finally we have the fun "I Love Ewe" which is one of the awesome sentiments from our Farm Animal Stamps. Just goes to show you that a little creativity can make familiar products into something new and cool, eh?

What's Brewing?

Generally, at my house "What's Brewing" is coffee or tea, but it occurred to me the other day when I saw that sentiment in our Coffee Stamp set, that *beer* is also brewed. You may know that Beer Brads and a coordinating set of Beer Stamps were part of the newest release in May. But it's entirely possible to use the former without the latter, so of course I had to make a couple of cards to celebrate!

My first card could not be more simple: Beer Brads and the "brewing" sentiment inside a label shape, on a great coordinating piece of ledger style paper, and a few coordinating washi tapes (Love Tape and this fab Skinny Plaid that I adore) are really all you need!

I confess that I have been wanting this Pizza Tape since I first saw it, but held out because I honestly wasn't sure what to do with it. Once I saw the Beer Brads, however, it seemed like a match made in heaven. The "Everything I Brew..." sentiment is also from the Coffee Stamp set, but again, it multitasks really well here. I set off the sentiment panel with some teeeeeeeny but truly useful 1/16" Mini Round Brads in the corners.

I hope you'll be inspired to think of alternate ways to use your own EO Clear Stamps, and that you'll brew up some creative cards of your own.

What's Better...

...than that first cup of coffee in the morning? Ok actually that’s a trick question, because there’s really NOTHING better than that, is there? But cards made with Eyelet Outlet Coffee Stamps and Coffee Brads come pretty close. See?

I love that our stamp sets were created especially to work with our brads, but they also have brilliant sentiments that stand alone AND some fun images as well. For this card I used the little coffee bean stamp to create my own custom patterned paper, then used a brown Tombow Dualbrush pen and a waterbrush to color them in a watercolory style. Then I used some clever dies from Stephanie Barnard to construct the coffee cup, whose carrier band is made from our gorgeous henna-inspired Wide Flower Washi. I embellished with a few Paper Flowers, added my favorite sentiment in the Coffee Stamps set, and called it good to go!

I hope you'll be inspired to think about making your own patterned paper with your favorite EO Clear Stamps. But first... why not help yourself to just one more cup of coffee... :)

We go Together Like... (Pick One)

One of my favorite Eyelet Outlet Clear Stamp sets has definitely got to be the Donut Stamps, and as much as I love the donut-related stamps in that set, for me the most useful stamp might just be the one that says, "We Go Together Like..." because there are just SO MANY ways to use it and so many pairs of Eyelet Outlet brads that make it work! Here are a few right now:

One of my favorites of the New May 2018 Brad Sets are the Jeans and Tee Shirt Brads. In each pack you get six pairs of denim blue trousers and six shirts of assorted colors, so they are super versatile!

The Chicken and Waffle Brads are also new, and again, they are just so fun you want to use them over and over. Although I feel I should probably warn you that, if you're anything like me, the Chicken and Waffle Brads may cause cravings for actual chicken and/or waffles, so please crave responsibly! :)

Neither the Coffee nor Donut Brads are new, but they never stop being AWESOME, imo! You'll have noticed that I've essentially made the same 3.5x5" mini card for each of these designs, using a fun reproduction library card and polka dot patterned paper in coordinating colors.

I've used the same two tapes: Chevron Washi and one of the black and white Pattern Skinny Tapes on top of torn bits of dictionary paper that relate to the brads. In this case, I've used a Chicken Brad and a Rooster Brad on top of the definition for "Hen".

And finally I've combined some bacon and an egg from our Breakfast Brads (the packets also have slices of toast!) on top of the definitions for various egg-related words.

Of course this idea would work for pretty much ANY combination of brads you can imagine, so I hope you'll be inspired to make your own versions! ♥

Thanks a Latte!

One of my all-time favorite Eyelet Outlet brad sets has to be the Coffee Brads, which come with white cups, red cups AND coffee beans. So of course I was pretty psyched when I saw the new Coffee Stamps which are quite literally made to go with the brads!

One of the reasons I love coffee themed products is that I love to join my friend Amy Tsuruta and the Coffee Loving Cardmakers in their seasonal blog hops and the summer one is going on right now!

I love that all the EO Clear Stamp sets are a mix of images and really great sentiments, sized exactly right to be used with the brads. For my first card, I stamped the "Cool Beans" sentiment  over and over (...and over and over...) on a panel of plain white cardstock, using lots of gorgeous bright shades of archival ink. 

Then I added the (literal!) cool beans by making some of the Coffee Bean Brads the centers of three different sizes of Paper Flowers. My mat is fabulous Splatter Tape and there's a little strip of beautiful watercolory Wide Flower Tape to add extra interest!

My second card features Butterfly Washi, which I used to make my background squares that hold the sentiment, "Thanks a Latte" stamped on a heart shape. I added Flower Tape, some fussycut butterflies, and a pair of Coffee Cups nested on top of Plain White Flowers for a summery look!

Go Nuts for Donuts! ♥

It's no secret that I'm a huge fan of Eyelet Outlet's Donut Brads. And a few weeks ago, I found an awesome Donut Washi Tape in the EO store that pairs perfectly with them. So you can only imagine my joy when the new line of Eyelet Outlet Clear Stamps included a set called "Donut Stamps". Obviously I had to use all of those fine products together, right?! Which is exactly what I've done on the EO blog today!

For my first card, I stamped the sentiment, "I DONUT know what I'd do without you" on some soft pink paper in black ink, and a second time on scrap paper with dark brown.

The latter version I fussycut, and mounted over the background on tiny strips of foam tape, just for a little bit of added dimension. I affixed one of each of the three flavors of Donut Brad onto a matted square of dark brown paper and layered them onto the card over a strip of Donut Tape.

My second card features the fun donut stamp from the set. I used it to make a background by stamping it repeatedly in Archival ink on watercolor paper, then coloring with water-based markers that I brushed with a little water for a looser effect. I added the sentiment, "DONUT ever give up" inside a diecut label shape and adorned it with a Donut Brad and a Heart.

Have you HERD?!

Eyelet Outlet has just released a fun line of rubber stamps to coordinate with our brads! Oh and speaking of brads, we're got a bunch of brand new ones! All of the above made their debut at this weekend's trade show in Detroit, and will be added to the online store very soon, but meanwhile here's a sneak peak of just a couple new things: The Animal Stamps which feature sentiments which pair perfectly with our adorable farm animal brads, and the newest addition to the farm family, Horse and Pony Brads:

You can see that I've also added in some of the other farm animals: Cow and Goat Brads, plus a Sheep from the Pig and Sheep set. I've stamped the "Greetings from the Herd" sentiment on some woodgrain paper and added a Sun and Cloud Brad just slightly behind it, to finish off the little landscape scene.

The Animal Stamp set features five awesome sentiments that go perfectly with all of the cool farm animals we already have. It also has a cow stamp and a goat stamp, based on the brads of the same names, so there are endless possibilities for using each on their own. Or even better, together! There are more stamp sets on the way, as well, including ones that coordinate with our Fan Brads, Coffee Brads and... my favorite... Donut Brads!

The Horse and Pony Brads come in a set of 12 that features both light and dark brown adult horses and some utterly adorable foals that coordinate well with either or both!
